I can’t tell you how many people asked me, “Can the new
Democratic majority in the Senate really outperform their
Republican predecessors?”

There were many skeptics who believed that it simply wasn’t
possible to achieve progressive reform in Washington.

I am proud to report that not only is it possible, but we’ve
already passed 25+ pieces of priority legislation in the first
few weeks of this session!

We’re going one step further by putting forward a
progressive budget proposal so we can take action on issues that
matter to you, like expanding property tax relief, hiring
top-notch teachers for Washington’s schools, and funding the
fight against the opioid crisis.
