Dear Students,
I hope you've had a good week!  I am writing with an update about the course request process for the 2018-19 academic year.
As previously announced, due to our move to a new student information management system, we will use a different approach to enter all course requests for next year.  We had originally planned to guide you through the course request process in person by grade, but after further consideration we have decided to use google forms, which will allow you to enter in course requests at your own convenience.  Links to these google forms will be sent to you by the end of next week, and completed forms will be due by March 8th.  Once course requests have been entered, students will receive copies of their course requests, which parents will sign to indicate approval.
In the meantime, please look through the 2018-19 Curriculum Guide (attached to this email) and discuss your options with your parents and advisors.  You should have received your science course options by email from the Science Department.  Please reach out to your current science teacher with any questions about your options.  All math placements will be made by current math teachers, so questions regarding math placement should be directed to your current teacher.  Juniors and seniors who are interested in doubling in a subject must schedule a time to meet with me to get approval.  If you need more general academic advice, please feel free to reach out to me to schedule a meeting.
