Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said Wednesday he supports raising the age limit for purchasing AR-15-style rifles.

Rubio made his comments during a town hall that included survivors of a high school shooting in Parkland, Florida, where 17 people died. "If you are 18 years of age, you should not be able to buy a rifle. I will support a law that takes that right away," Rubio said during the CNN town hall to Fred Guttenberg, whose 14-year-old daughter, Jamie, was killed just a week ago.

Rubio said he would agree to raising the age to 21 to purchase the rifle.
