In a recent interview with Elle, Abby spoke about why she decided to run for office and how her deep roots in Iowa’s 1st are guiding her campaign.

“I try to remember that it’s not about you, this work. There’s a reason it’s called ‘representative,’ right? You listen to folks. Your job is to take your constituents' voices to those spaces that they don't [have access to], to those tables where decisions are made.”
