Dear Board of Directors, Jason and I are very excited to share the following USGLC staffing news: s After a year of outstanding service as our Director of Strategic Initiatives, Matt Moore will fortunately continue working with USGLC, but he will transition to a consultant. The commute back and forth from his wife and young daughter, who live in South Carolina, was taxing, and this new arrangement will allow him to stay in SC while still supporting our effort. Matt will focus on tapping into his strong contacts within the Administration, as well as helping us engage conservative political and faith leaders across the country. We are grateful for Matt's continued service and partnership. Thank You Matt! s Returning to USGLC as our new Director of National Engagement is our old friend, Derek Gianino. Derek returns to USGLC after spending a year of working at U.S. Chamber of Commerce with new USGLC Board Member Myron Brilliant. In Derek's first four years at USGLC, he was central in pioneering our field program and leading our Impact 2016 initiative. Returning to USGLC, Derek will spearhead our political outreach to the Administration, as well as outreach to national business leaders and political parties and provide strategic oversight of our diverse coalition partners. Derek's first day back with USGLC is February 20. Welcome Back! s We are thrilled to announce that Melissa Lieberman has a been promoted to the new position of Director of External Relations, reflecting her growing leadership and responsibility in fundraising and development in addition to her stewardship of the Board of Directors and USGLC membership. Congratulations! Best regards, Liz Liz Schrayer, USGLC
