At CARE, we are committed to finding the best new ideas to solve the
world's greatest challenges. In a pioneering step, CARE launched
the Scale X Design Accelerator, an incubator to identify and expand
the most promising innovations to end poverty. Teams from around the
world were invited to pitch their ideas and win funds to scale them.
Following is an update on this year's winners and their exciting
programs.

CARE welcomed the second cohort of the Scale X Design
Accelerator to the stage this month at events in both Atlanta and
Silicon Valley and hosted two incredibly successful pitch night
celebrations.

Fourteen teams from around the globe came together to pitch their
innovations that address the needs of the world's poorest people,
especially women and girls. Audiences from coast to coast joined
Michelle Nunn, president and CEO of CARE, alongside our expert panel
of judges, to determine the winners of over $400,000 in grant money.
The winning teams will use that grant money to bring their programs to
scale, continuing CARE's mission of saving lives, defeating poverty
and achieving social justice worldwide.

A-Card - Bangladesh

Smallholder farmers are gaining access to loans to
improve their livelihoods via a cash-less digital financial product
with lower interest rates and long repayment periods.

Men and boys are turning into champions of ending gender
based violence through a holistic approach and creative methods
