- Grew TAI’s membership by 300%

- Created popular programs like Iowa Women in Technology, TechBrew, the Prometheus Awards, and Pitch & Grow

- Passed legislation that resulted in successful policy initiatives


Leann was the Founder and President of Capitol Gains, a small business and public policy firm

- Advocated for business and economic development, women running for office, arts and culture, and children's rights

- Helped pass Endow Iowa, major legislation with bipartisan support to enhance the quality of life for Iowans

- Worked with local cities to secure $1.7 million in annual revenue which has led to significant growth in the arts


Leann is a local small business owner and a leader in rural economic revitalization

- Opened StartupCity Spencer, an entrepreneurial and small business incubator co-working space

- Founded and manages the Spencer Riverfront District Farmer's Market

- Owns and operates the Bear Coffeehouse and Wine Bar
