Dear 11th-Grade Students,
I wanted to share a few updates on the summer internships we are able to offer through the Sidwell Friends School Dehejia Internship Program. Details about the program were included in my initial email to you, which is also below.
(1) Thank you to everyone who came to our workshops on cover letter and resume writing. If you were unable to attend and want help with writing these please don't hesitate to email me.
(2) I have attached the most recently updated list of internships. You will notice that Casey Trees is now unfortunately unable to offer a summer internship this year.
(3) I am extending the application deadline for applying to these internships one week to March 14th.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I have cc'd 11th-grade parents as well, who are welcome to contact me with questions.

Subject: Looking for a Summer Internship?
Dear 11th-Grade Students,
I am writing to follow up on news about the Anindya Dehejia ‘78 Internship Program, made possible by the Dehejia family to celebrate the memory of their son. We are very pleased to let you know that nine DC-area organizations have agreed to host interns on a competitive basis for an internship this upcoming summer. These internships, which come with a stipend to offset food, transportation, and other relevant costs of participating in the internship, are generally ranging from three to six weeks, with specific dates and hours to be worked out by the host.
For descriptions of the specific internships, please see the attached document. To apply to any of these internships, please submit a digital copy of your cover letter and resume to me by March 7. Applications will then be forwarded to the internship host(s), who will select the intern, typically following an interview.
In late February/early March we will host optional workshops in the Upper School on how to write a cover letter and resume. More details on that to follow.
I would love to hear from you if you are considering applying to one of the internships. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions about the program, or the individual internships.
