Prior to her current position at DCSAA, where she oversees gender equity issues for all District of Columbia athletic programs, Natalie taught science at both Alice Deal Middle School and Calvin Coolidge Senior High School. She has extensive experience in curriculum development and instructional coaching, as well as a deep interest in the science of learning. At Coolidge, she served as Head Varsity Football Coach, one of a handful of women in the United States to hold such a position.</span></p><p style="margin: 0;font-size: 12px;line-height: 14px"><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 16px;"> </span></p><p style="margin: 0;font-size: 12px;line-height: 14px"><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 16px;">Natalie received both her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and her Master's in Education in Educational Policy from the University of Virginia, where she competed in track and field. She currently serves as a board member of the National Alliance of African-American Athletes, and is a recipient of a number of honors, including the U.S. Marine Corps Award for Excellence in Coaching, the National Urban League's Women of Power Award, and the Amtrak Pioneer Award.
