I polled Nevada extensively in 2010 as part of Senator Harry Reid's outstanding campaign team. One thing became very clear to us very early on - Nevadans want their members of Congress to work hard and fight for them in Washington.

This cycle is no different. The research we've done for Shelley Berkley shows the same thing. And just as Senator Reid did in 2010, Shelley is outworking her opponent every day. We've seen her hard work reflected in the poll--our data shows Shelley maintaining a narrow lead in this critical race.

In 2010, the road to maintaining the Democratic majority in the Senate ran straight through Nevada. 2012 will be no different.

Just as Senator Reid did last cycle, Congresswoman Shelley Berkley is prepared to run the toughest, most hard-nosed campaign she can. Since announcing her candidacy earlier in the year, Shelley has out-worked and out-raised her opponent. It's paid off. The most recent PPP poll had the race a dead heat. Shelley closed a six-point gap in just a few months time.

Shelley's race is at the top of Senator Reid's priority list. And as we head into 2012, Shelley will need the resources to run a field and media operation similar to that which we ran last cycle.

Senator Reid is headlining a fundraiser for Shelley on December 8, 2011 at The Source (575 Pennsylvania Ave NW). Many of you attended the event Senator Reid did for Shelley in May - I hope you'll consider attending this one as well.

The best way to protect a Democratic majority is to expand that majority. I hope Senator Reid and I can count on you to support Shelley. See you on December 8th.
