CGC CEO Reed Hundt joins board of Advanced Energy Economy

_Advanced Energy Economy (AEE) officially launched on November 7th,
2011_ and CGC is pleased to announce that our CEO Reed Hundt will be serving
on the AEE Board of Directors. AEE is a growing national network of state
and regional business groups promoting American companies as global
suppliers of innovative energy technologies. "Building strategic and
comprehensive partnerships through initiatives like AEE is crucial to our
mission of reducing consumption of carbon-intensive energy," said Reed
Hundt, CGC CEO. He also noted that "encouraging the private sector and
business community to play a larger role in calling for the inevitable
transition to a clean energy economy will significantly strengthen our
efforts and expedite our success." The AEE network starts out with chapters
representing more than 700 companies in nine states and that number is
expected to more than double by early next year.

_CGC partners with ACORE to promote Phase II, Policy Forum in Washington,
DC, Dec. 6-7_
_ACORE's annual Phase II Policy Forum_ has never been more important. With
an industry whose growth and economic potential is being called into
question, Phase II will be a critical meeting geared towards formulating an
over-arching strategy for the continued success and support of the industry.
The forum will explore issues of national and energy security, economic
development, capital raising, and jobs for the many under and unemployed
Americans. The thought leaders from the global stage will join leaders from
the national and state levels to assess the status of renewable energy
policy today and the range of policy options available, and help to advise
on the best-case policy framework for 2012 and beyond. Your attendance is

_CGC is working to set up additional state level green banks_
_Since successfully passing into law the nation's first Green Bank_ in the
state of Connecticut, the CGC has been contacted by nearly a dozen
additional states that are interested in pursuing the Green Bank model in
their own state. CGC CEO Reed Hundt and General Counsel Ken Berlin, served
as co-hosts for a recent working group session held at the Brookings
Institution. Representatives from nine states joined, and attendees were
made up primarily of sitting state officials along with representatives from
private sector businesses and environmental groups. As Ken Berlin noted
after the conference, "Each state presents a unique challenge resulting from
their renewable resources as well as ongoing political battles. CGC has been
designing boutique state green bank models to address the varied needs of
every state in a well-tailored model."
