Here's an updated version of the schedule with the guest we discussed on
Monday.

Also, I had a crazy idea that may not be feasible... Instead of a final
paper, what if we had a final project where we split the class in two and
have them prepare advocacy presentations (pro and con) on an issue of
relevance to someone like Chris Dodd (I wonder if he's on any international
issues like copyright protection/pirating in China, India, etc). If he's
still willing to come to class, we could get one of his issues and have the
two teams each prepare a pitch which Dodd could discuss and critique. We
give them the assignment a couple weeks out, so it resembles a real world
situation. This might even be helpful for Dodd or whomever we get, because
they're getting 18 students to war game an advocacy situation. Might be
more helpful for the students, and we wouldn't have to grade papers. This
could also work with someone other than Dodd... like a former chief of
staff who has some experience preparing this stuff for their boss.
