Dear 12th Grade Parents/Guardians,We hope everyone was able to enjoy Thanksgiving break with family and friends. This is a busy time of year with holidays approaching fast. With a memorable November behind us and college decisions looming ahead for many seniors this month, we hope that students will remember to maintain perspective and exercise kindness to oneself and others.We are still searching for a host for the 12th grade winter potluck. We hope to hold this event during the January/February time frame. Please let us know if you are willing to host this event in your home.Key dates for senior parents through January:December 6, Senior Celebration meeting, 7:00pm, US Choral Room (more information below)January 23, Yearbook recognition ad deadline for seniors (more information below)CALLING ALL PARENTS OF SENIORS -- SENIOR CELEBRATION MEETING -- Tuesday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the US Choral Room). Please do not forget to join this kick-off event. We need help planning the event, composing funny lyrics, writing skits, creating a video, organizing a slideshow, and adding a few new ideas to the mix! All skill sets are needed as we look to assign "captains" for everything from communication, event planning, show elements, senior swag, and so on. Don't miss the opportunity to help make this an awesome, fun and memorable celebration for the entire class of 2017! Note: Traditionally, at some point, all the parents take the stage! (The "don't miss" Senior Celebration will take place on Saturday, June 3, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., at the Kogod Arts Center.) Yearbook recognition ads for graduating seniors are a great way for parents, families, and friends to commemorate student achievements and important milestones. In addition, revenues from recognition ads help Sidwell to create a better yearbook. We’re very excited to announce that all of the yearbook pages will be printed in full color. Also, all of the recognition ads can now be designed online directly by you! To design and pay for your personalized yearbook ad, please follow the directions below. Your ad order must be received by Monday, January 23, 2017.
