MILLSAPS COLLEGE ARTS SCHOLARS DAY
FRIDAY, JANUARY 27, 2017

ARTS SCHOLARS DAY is designed for high school seniors interested in pursuing the arts at Millsaps College. Portfolio reviews, auditions and interviews during Arts Scholars Day will determine eligibility for scholarships in Studio Art, Art History, Creative Writing, Music and Theatre. Scholarships may be offered to students who will major in the arts and also to non-majors interested in participating in the arts at Millsaps.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ANY OF THE ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS, students must apply to the College by the REGULAR DECISION DEADLINE of FEBRUARY 1, 2017, although we strongly encourage you to apply prior to attending this program. A separate Arts Scholars <http://millsaps.edu/admissions/arts-scholars-day.php> application is required, along with other supplemental materials, and must be completed and received by the Office of Admissions by FRIDAY, JANUARY 13, 2017, at least two weeks prior to Arts Scholars Day (click here <https://admission.millsaps.edu/register/ASD_2017> for the Arts Scholars application, and click here <http://millsaps.edu/admissions/apply-new-freshmen.php> to begin your application for admission to Millsaps College if you haven't already done so).

"Creative writing at Millsaps College simultaneously allows me to strengthen my academic writing while expressing myself creatively. Throughout this program, I have learned to appreciate the difficulty that comes with cultivating this valuable skill."

Leah Whitcomb
Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies
