Today is Giving Tuesday - and you have the opportunity to make sure a child in poverty will have a Christmas present.
Our Angel Tree has 800 children on it who need you to help them have a great Christmas. This includes some kids of families who lost everything in the tragic gas explosion in Silver Spring earlier this year -- we've been helping their families to rebuild.
Can you visit our Angel Tree and make a Giving Tuesday Gift?

The parents of these kids simply don't have the extra money to buy Christmas gifts.

Of course, our work goes far beyond Christmas gifts. If you care about ending poverty in Washington, DC and the region nearby, you’re going to love Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington. Just last year (right here locally!), we:
* helped more than 127,000 people of all faiths, backgrounds, and needs.
* served more than 5,000,000 meals to the hungry.
* assisted more than 3,500 people in their search to find a job.
* provided medical and dental care to more than 16,600 people.

But for us, the most pressing number on this Giving Tuesday are those 800 kids. Can you add one or two more names to your Christmas shopping list <https://www.catholiccharitiesdc.org/page.redir?target=http%3a%2f%2fdonatechristmas.catholiccharitiesdc.org%2f&srcid=33012&srctid=1&erid=1759439&trid=e8cd2154-4184-44f2-bb82-44ca93a4d1bb> and ensure some bright smiles on Christmas morning or make a donation here <https://www.catholiccharitiesdc.org/GivingTuesday16?srctid=1&erid=1759439&trid=e8cd2154-4184-44f2-bb82-44ca93a4d1bb> to ensure we can purchase “emergency gifts” for any kids who aren’t picked?
