Dear Sidwell Friends School Families,

Welcome to a new school year! Hopefully, you have all found some respite
from the DC summer weather and that the excitement of a new year at SFS
is starting to take hold. The Back-to-School Announcements can now be
found on the Parent Portal of the Sidwell Friends School website
(www.sidwell.edu) or by clicking

. These announcements include important notices about car security
cards, meetings with the Head of School, grade meetings, how to get your
questions answered, Parents Association meetings regarding strategic
planning, shuttle bus sign-ups, orientation, emergency notification
listservs, construction updates and much more.

Please be sure to thoroughly read through these announcements to prepare
yourself for the start of school and to mark your calendars with
important dates. There are also letters from Tom Farquhar, Head of
School, and each of the Principals for your review.

Enjoy these last couple of weeks of summer and we look forward to seeing
