into careers when their performing career is over. Like professional
athletes, dancers' careers are short and end due to injury, age or
lack of employment. If you are a lover of dance, you know the joy
that dancers bring to your life and to millions of Americans every
year. Unlike professional athletes, many have skipped college to
maximize their career span and often have developed few skills to
help them transition into the regular work force when they near
retirement.

Since 1985, dancers from around the country go to Career Transition
For Dancers for confidential career counseling to help them find a
rewarding second career. From pre-professional to mid-career and
mature dancers, our programs help dancers in every stage of their

How can you help?

Miraculously, all programs are provided free of charge. To help keep
the programs accessible, join me for the organization's biggest
fundraiser of the year on Monday November 8. It will be one of the
most exciting dance events of the season and I have the honor of
being a 25th Anniversary Chair. The 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee
Gala performance will be at New York City Center, followed by dinner,
dancing and a live auction at the Hilton New York. We hope you will
