Dear Members of the Board,

This is a heads-up to let you know that a bound copy of the audit will be
arriving in your mailbox shortly. For those of you on the audit committee,
you will also receive a copy of the audit letters from Drolet & Associates.

More importantly I would like for all of you to be sure to keep your
schedule clear the week of September 14-17. Below you will find a very
brief timeline of activities. As you are aware ZERO, PCF, PHEN and the
Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program will be combining activities in
Washington, DC. Additionally,our Chairman Jonathan Schwartz has requested a
full in-person Board meeting on September 14. PCF will be having their
Board meeting as well on that day. In the middle of all of this we will be
having a press conference and the Congressional reception so it will be a
very busy day. The tentative schedule of activities is as follows:

Thanks to Dan Zenka of PCF for help in compiling this timeline and for
providing some of the verbiage.

We are packaging the sum of all DC events (PCF¹s, ZERO¹s PHEN¹s (Prostate
Health Education Network) and BBHOP (Black Barber Shop Health Outreach
Program)) as the Advance on Washington: Pushing for Progress in Prostate
Cancer. Themed commemorative buttons will be provided for all events and
meetings taking place that week.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2010:

Patient/Survivors Breakfast (Tentative)
We are also investigating the possibility of a Survivors & Supporters
Breakfast just prior to the press conference (250-500 people all dressed in
blue in a public place). Jean Fogelberg, Rosey and Charlie will be the
celebrities on hand. Charlie can sing the National Anthem, Rosey can open
with a prayer, Jean will say a few words of support. If agreed, I can play
PCF/patient emcee for the event. This event will tie the patient focus to
the week and provide a human visual for media covering events. It will be
promoted through the PCa Rountable organizations and BBHOP. There will be an
online sign up. Perhaps we can produce t-shirts for this eventŠ


Press conference at 10:00am Tuesday morning at the Hilton:

- Brief welcome and explanation of the importance of all that is
happening in D.C. that week (JWS or Mike, 4 minutes)

- Brief statements (3-4 sentences) from BBHOP, ZERO, PHEN (6 minutes)

- Current Research Highlights (Curing More, Overtreating less) (15
minutes)

o U of M - 24 Gene Fusions are the Rosetta Stone for PCA (A.
Chinnayan?)

o Cedars & Hopkins ­ Proactive Surveillance Network (Hold & Carter?)

- Charlie Wilson, Lou Gosset Jr. (possible), Jean Fogelberg, Rosey
Grier and Ken Griffey Jr. (possible) on hand and acknowledged

Other Activities/Plans of Note:

Still reaching out to the Redskins for the Sunday eve game (09/12) to see
what we can do with them (GRAFIK).
Pitching Gannett Foundation and Community Service folks to see if they will
light their campus blue that week and provide a commemorative ad in USA
Today that week. (GRAFIK)
In the final stages of assessing the viability of a Charlie Wilson Concert
for PCa on Thursday, 09/16.
BBHOP has enlisted the help of several congressional offices to see of the
White House will go blue that week.


As the program continues to develop we will keep you apprised of changes.
This cooperative gathering of organizations has the potential to be a
watershed moment in the prostate cancer cause and it is imperative that our
Board and supporters are well-represented.
