Hi folks,

I hope you’re all off to a great start in 2019. We are over here! In addition to an op-ed from Hallie, published in today’s News Journal (https://www.delawareonline.com/story/opinion/contributors/2019/01/08/opinion-delaware-takes-beau-bidens-quest-protect-children-nationwide/2501955002/) our friends at the Cal Ripken Foundation published an op-ed in the Washington Examiner about our work with them and what we’re doing with Special Olympics (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/op-eds/teaming-up-to-protect-children-from-abuse). Plus, our annual appeal has brought in over $45,000!

When we last met in October, we held off on scheduling a date for the January Board meeting, so that we would be able to have a completed Strategic Plan to review and vote on. The Strategic Planning Committee will meet once more on Monday, Jan 14, and the plan will be done 10 days or so after that.

We would like to have the next board meeting on Thursday, January 31st, at 12 pm at our office (Geesey Mansion, 4601 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803). We’ll make every effort to keep this meeting to one hour. If folks need to dial in, the number is: ‭(712) 770-4010;550646‬#.

Tomorrow morning I will send around the FY19 budget. It should have been approved in December, so once I send it around, I would ask you review it and we can take a vote over email.
