This trade war isn't ending, team -- and it's hurting hardworking Iowans trying to make a living and support their families.

At the State Fair last week, Fred and I had the chance to sit down with some of our state's pork producers to discuss how their markets have been impacted by the trade war, and the consensus was clear: This trade war is catastrophic for them.

But we need to hear from you, as well -- is this trade war impacting your family or community? Are you as determined as we are to establish new leadership in our state that will stand up for the markets that Iowa producers need?

I've spent my entire life on a farm, and I know that Iowa's farmers and agricultural producers don't want a hand out -- we want to have access to markets where our goods are valued and we have the ability to sell them without fear of plummeting prices and market uncertainty just around the corner.

Trump's "relief" package for farmers doesn't even begin to touch the lost profits and turmoil in the market for corn and soybean producers, and pork producers and steel manufacturers have no relief in sight -- pork producers alone have already lost $560 million.

Yet, we still have not to seen Gov. Reynolds really stand up for our farmers and agricultural producers.

Fred and I know we need new leadership that will support Iowa's farmers and ag producers -- leadership that will put Iowa families before party politics and fight for stable markets that empower some of the hardest workers in our state. Are you with us?
