C_TEC Announces New Working Group Co-Chairs

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Technology Engagement Center (C_TEC) today announced the co-chairs for its three working groups: Autonomous Vehicles (AV), New Economy, and Unmanned Aerial System (UAS); as well as the Telecommunications & E-Commerce Policy Committee. The working groups and policy committee lead campaigns designed to educate policymakers, regulators, the business community, and the public on benefits of the different technologies across the economy. Each working group meets regularly throughout the year.

“The way companies operate and serve their customers will continue to change with every new innovation,” said Tim Day, senior vice president of C_TEC. “With these rapid changes, it’s as important as ever to seek diverse input from business leaders across industries. I’m grateful to each of the co-chairs for their commitment to working with C_TEC to promote American innovation and ingenuity.”

The working groups and policy committee are made up of a diverse set of interests and industries converging around a common goal to advocate for policy solutions that promote emerging technologies. Over the past year, they have lead efforts to pass legislation calling for autonomous vehicle testing, convened policy discussions with administration and agency officials, and sent letters of support to Congress on specific technology policies. Congressional and administration officials and staff regularly attend and address the working group and policy committee meetings.
