But the best Alexa comment came today when I walked into the Palm for lunch. Now, the Palm in DC on 19 ^th street is hallowed ground. I grew up seeing all of the legendary figures that have ever worked in Washington hang out there. And drawings of these legends are all over the walls. Just last week, I saw a prominent senior Republican Senator dining there, a few weeks ago a nationally known Democratic governor. A few months earlier I even spotted the infamous Roger Stone. The place oozes history and remains vital. My buddy Michael Melore runs the Palm now. He was trained by the incomparable Tommy Jacomo who worked at and ran the Palm for almost 5 decades. Michael is more than a worthy successor to Tommy, and he’s an institution just like Tommy. The Palm is one reason that I love this town. So I walk into the Palm today and Michael says, “Alexa, please show Andrew to his table.” Of course I doubled over. And then Michael told me that you can ask Alexa to play entire channels of music on apps like Pandora. Now I’m hooked. This one’s for you Michael (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YXqqMCVbts&utm_source=CSIS+All&utm_campaign=6bd3defc8a-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_08_08_08_19&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f326fc46b6-6bd3defc8a-145367789) .
