<p style="margin:0">When the law was signed, it included an individual mate. Meaning people are required to have insurance \u2013 otherwise th=y have to pay a fee. Back in 2012, the Supreme Court said the ACA was <a h="https://link.theskimm.com/click/15434140.2709931/aHR0cHM6Ly9za2ltbXR=LmlzLzJBMUhnSmE/5bae7b412ddf9c633bb801b8Bb99b787c" target="_blank" style="color:#00b2a9;text-decoration:none;">constitutional</a> because of thise. Specifically because it falls under Congress's power to tax people. T=en the new tax bill happened.</p>
