Even Republicans know that Gov. Reynolds' privatization of Medicaid is a disaster, team.

Last week we heard a shocking story from a former Medicaid official about his experience while overseeing the program that is leaving thousands of Iowans without the care they desperately need, including his own son.

The most shocking part? When he sounded the alarm that something needed to change in order to make sure Medicaid patients were properly taken care of, he was ousted from his post.

Gov. Reynolds is standing by disastrous policies that are endangering the lives of thousands of Iowa's most vulnerable citizens -- and instead of listening to the experts that say patients are being neglected and denied care, the governor is silencing them.

This won't be the first or last time we say this: our state needs new, proven leadership that will stand up for the quality health care Iowans deserve -- but in order to beat Gov.
