Brokering and vetting US/European companies entering trying to enter the Pakistan market is part of the concept we discussed mention. The rebuilding of the energy and communications infrastructure will be done by outside firms, no domestic company has any capabilities. They will just hire local labors which is cash into the local economy. All the redevelopment will all basically be funded by the US or backed by the US is some way shape or form. And part of the strategy it to thwart Chinese investment and companies doing the same thing. Obvious huge risk as you all mentioned, but also large magnitude of spend and project size. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------- Neil Callahan Rosemont Seneca 401 Greenwich Street, Suite 400 | New York NY 10013 | 212-933-9965 1010 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 705 | Washington DC 20007 | 202-333-1880 917-945-9516 (mobile) 866-749-8879 (fax) From: Neil Callahan [mailto:ncallahan@rosemontseneca.com] Sent: Saturday, June 05, 2010 12:39 PM To: ncallahan@rosemontseneca.com Subject: Bloomberg news: Sony Sags, GE Sees Opening in Pakistan Energy Crisis (Update1) Sony Sags, GE Sees Opening in Pakistan Energy Crisis (Update1) http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=email_en <http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=email_en&sid=azmnNJnp81mc> &sid=azmnNJnp81mc
