Short of it is Chris H is friends with Charley Ledley who you will remember from The Big Short (went to HBS with him). Charley is about to start at Highfields Capital ($20B Hedge Fund) on Monday. He wants to use Charley as a sounding board for our efforts and thinks we should bring him to our next meeting with IPS as he can really help us frame what a typical customer (like Charley) would want. Sounded like Charley was game to do it and would likely become a client assuming he likes the process. Chris thought this was a good way to do it as he is a friend. Still should talk to Dan Loeb and Izzy but this would allow us a guinea pig that would help us shape the offering. Also, thought there may be some sexiness with Charley due to him being in the Big Short and coming off fairly well. Also thought his contrarian sensibilities would mesh well with Thad and IPS.
