Hunter – thanks for the offer. But we should be OK with everything. Finnegan is sorely missed. She is the type of kid I always look for on a team. Respectful and always working hard and never lacking effort. Her skills are developing nicely and given her athleticism and speed, she will be a force to be reckoned with! Please tell her how much we miss her, and I hope she recovers soon so she can keep working on her stick skills.


I hope she returns for some summer camps and the fall season. Thanks again for the email.

We are set for Lax Splash ( JUNE 5TH AND 6TH) in Baltimore and Beach Lax (JUNE 12TH AND 13TH) in Ocean City. You should have the schedule for Lax Splash and attached are the tourney rules. I received word yesterday that Beach Lax schedule should be done by Tuesday. I will forward upon my receipt.


A few other items:


First, I learned that team tents can be set up around the park except in the vendor area between fields 1, 3 and 5. If anyone has a tent or canopy that can be used to keep our girls out of the sun while waiting for games, and to serve as a home base, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.


Second, I mentioned that we have approx 2 hours of downtime on Saturday morning at Lax Splash. Any ideas for keeping the girls together and cool are appreciated. The heat can zap our team’s energy quickly. Perhaps a quick trip to Hunt Valley Mall to get them out of the sun and into someplace cool?


Third, the tournament director confirmed that we will be one of the younger teams in our division at Lax Splash. Plus, bear in mind that we are playing many school teams, and teams that have likely played together for many years. Add this to the fact that in Baltimore, lacrosse is a way of life for kids. They commit early and hard to the sport. The bottom line is that we must all keep a realistic expectation of our goals. I, for one, will commit to keeping perspective and making these fun experiences that serve as a reward for a season of hard work. But we will still work hard and compete as hard as we can to win!!


Fourth, as I mentioned, we have enough $ in the Club Pink account to cover the Lax Splash registration fee. However, we need to cover the $475 Beach Lax reg. fee which I paid last week. Given our 18 confirmed players, this is $27 per player. So please send a check made out to “Club Pink” and mail to my address below. (Lucas has paid).


Thanks again for keeping it all straight and getting the girls to the fields on time.
