We inherited our current system from Beau’s political campaigns. The system is great for campaigns, but not built for non-profits. We’re also carrying a number of silly records from the Biden for President campaign, that we can purge without losing any integrity of our core network of supporters (the cost for any new system rises with every 25k records we’d transfer over). So, we’re working with our data/digital folks to ID duplicates in the database, and will run a few online campaigns this fall to figure out who are the most engaged folks on our list.<div class="">While we have the time, Patty and I wanted to do a real data append and change of address update to the high level donors in our database. These are folks who have made $1,000+ donations since Jan 1 2005. That’s donations to any of Beau’s committees, the Foundation and any JRB committees. It’s about 6,400 names. We could also include $250+ donors to JUST the Foundation, but most of those donations have come in over the last 18 months, and the records are fresh with better emails and addresses from online donations.
