I was really nice to see you yesterday. Thanks for offerring to help.

The above link lays out what's in the omnibus now (let's hope it passes for everyone's sake!) And what would need to be included in the CR as a Plan B if the omnibus doesn't pass.

Based on my conversation with Inouye's office, a direct appeal from VPOTUS to Mikulski (with a cc to Inouye either directly or thru me) to put the 30 million Carve Out language from COPS FY11 into the CR, would be all the heavy lifting we would need.

* this doesn't sabotage anything related to omnibus b/c we are already covered in omnibus. This is only if omnibus fails.*

CR language is being worked on right now in case omnibus effort collapses by Monday.
