2017 was a challenging year, to say the least.

But amid endless attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act and the despicable passage of the GOP Tax Scam, we managed to do some good work both in D.C. and at home in Massachusetts.

Here are some highlights I’m especially proud of:

- Passing bills to make government more efficient, study veterans’ mental health, and honor those who lost their lives serving in the longest war in our nation’s history
- Introducing bipartisan legislation that will help Americans succeed in the economy of the future and fill some of the 1.8 million tech jobs expected to go unfilled by 2024
- Hosting the New England chapter of Fish 2.0, an international business development workshop and pitch competition for marine startups, in our district
- Recruiting, endorsing, and continuing to support 19 service-driven men and women who are running for Congress in 2018
