Hunter, it was good to speak with you recently. Our work on the 40th anniverary celebration is continuing. The photos for the commemorative book have been finalized and we are more than half finished with the text.

We have begun the filming of our 26-minute PBS quality 40th anniversary video during this weekend. The producer and writer have won a number of Emmy awards and we are looking forward to a spectacular product. The interviews for the 40th anniversary video are underway. We have been fortunate to be able to schedule some supportive mayors, former Amtrak presidents, some players involved in incorporating Amtrak, former employees, a retired governor, and some retired high-ranking Amtrak employees. We are working on scheduling interviews with both Senator Hutchison's and Senator Lautenberg's offices and we have a number of other interviews scheduled over the next few months.

It would certainly be important for the public and our employees if we were able to interview and film the Vice President sometime in the next two months discussing the importance of Amtrak to this country and contributions of our employees. We would make the video crew available as the Vice President's schedule would permit.
