Per our conversation, we represent the Claim Your Health Data Coalition, made up of 3 healthcare claims clearinghouses - Experian Health, SSI Group, and Availity. These clearinghouses process every medical claim that flows between providers and insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid. Attached are documents that give an overview of our effort and the benefits we see it creating. These companies are sitting on an enormous amount of healthcare data that currently cannot be used for anything but processing payments.

Your Dad's comments at J.P. Morgan last week and the message he has been carrying for the last year around data flows and sharing in the health care industry is exactly what our coalition is working on and trying to achieve - freeing up data for patients, helping providers share information and make the best decisions possible in real time, and enabling research. We would welcome the opportunity to speak with whomever is involved in his efforts to help solve this problem.

We have bi-partisan legislation introduced in the House and soon to be introduced in the Senate and support from a number of 3rd party groups. And we hope we can find a way to work together on this.
