Dear MAD Members,

I am writing to invite you to join me and Marian C. Burke, Trustee and Chair of MAD Travels on a very special trip to explore the cultural riches of two of the Pacific Northwestâs most beloved cities: Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, Canada.

Starting in Seattle and ending in Vancouver, you will be in the wonderful company of other Trustees and Patrons and will enjoy behind-the-scenes access to cultural institutions, private collections, and artistsâ studios.

Among the highlights are a tour of Dale Chihulyâs Boathouse, Studio, Garden, and Glass Museum; a curator-led tour of the Seattle Art Museum; a behind the scenes tour of the world-renowned UBC Anthropology Museum; and studio visits with a hand-picked group of Vancouverâs leading First Nation craftsmen and artists. Youâll also have free time to explore each city on your own, chances to visit additional galleries and shops and enjoy a curated selection of dining experiences that will highlight the spectacular regional cuisine.

This seven-day, six-night trip will run from Tuesday, May 15 to Monday, May 21, 2018. We will stay at the luxurious Alexis Hotel in Seattle and the beautiful Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver.
