Would you notice if nearly $400,000 of your money was misspent? Would you ask questions about your bank account? Look at receipts?

Well, the current State Auditor didn’t. But it wasn't her money. It was Iowans' tax dollars at the Iowa Communications Network.

She probably missed it because she missed more oversight meetings than anyone else who served on the same oversight board.

She probably missed it because she only bothered to ask 3 questions in 4 years on the oversight board.

She probably missed it because she didn't bother to assign someone from her office to attend the meetings in her place. When asked why not today, she just said, “I could have."

We deserve better. Will you contribute $55.18? That's the number of oversight meetings she should have attended (55) and the number she missed (18). If you do, then the current State Auditor will probably miss something else, too: her re-election.
