I just wanted to forward you an email regarding AP's which will begin next week at SFS. The Below email was sent to all students in the Upper School and has important information for both test takers and non test takers alike. Additionally, each student who registered for an exam should have received their individual testing schedule as well.

IMPORTANT AP INFORMATION PLEASE READ
Hello friends,
AP Exams begin next Monday May 7th and run through May 18th., as a result of the tests, you may need to give yourself extra time to move through the building as certain hallways, lockers, and other areas may be blocked off during administration.
IF YOU ARE NOT TAKING AN AP EXAM
Review the attached classroom changes and take note of any location changes that may impact you.
During testing times please be considerate and refrain from doing anything that may be a distraction for test takers.
IF YOU ARE Taking an AP EXAM(S)
You will stay in the RLS after tomorrow’s collection to complete a pre-administration session.
You will need to bring a number 2 pencil (no mechanical pencils allowed) to the RLS in order to fill out the necessary forms.
Review the email I sent to you earlier today which lists the AP’s Tests you are registered for along with the room number of where your test will take place. YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW ALL AP EXAMS THAT YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE TO COMPLETE PREADMINISTRATION

If you are taking: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Chemistry, or Statistics exams you may be required to bring an approved calculator to complete your test. We will not provide students with calculators on test day. If you are taking a Language and Culture exam, and want to practice using the recording program, there will be a practice session Thursday May 3rd: from 3:00-4:00pm and Monday May 7th in the Blane Computer Lab located in the ground floor of the library.
SCHOOL AND COLLEGE BOARD GUIDELINES SURROUNDING AP EXAMS
Please Observe the Following:
Morning AP exams will begin promptly at 8:00 amand end around 11:30 am.
Afternoon AP exams will begin promptly at 12:00 pmand end around 3:30 pm.
All students should bring several #2 pencils, and black or dark blue ballpoint pens. Please note that you must bring pencils and pens. Pens will not be provided.
Calculators are permitted for the Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, Physics and Statistics exams only.
Rulers are permitted for the Physics exams only.
Cell phones, watches that beep/alarm, food, and water will not be allowed in the testing rooms.
Guidelines for Classwork and Homework:
12th graders will attend their AP classes until the actual AP Exam is administered.
Students taking a morning AP exam are expected to attend their afternoon classes.
Students taking an afternoon AP exam will be excused from their morning classes.
11th grade classes will NOT meet on Wednesday, May 9th (AP English Lit.) and
Friday, May 11th (AP U.S. History).
No tests may be scheduled or major assignments due from Monday, May 7th through Friday, May 18th—this affects 11th graders only.
Teachers are asked to keep homework assignments lighter from Monday, May 7th through Friday, May 13th–this affects 11th graders only.
Teachers are encouraged to be flexible with individual students and their AP schedules.
Students are responsible for consulting with their teachers about any special accommodations regarding making up missed classwork as a result of their individual testing schedule.
