<p><span style="font-size: 11pt;">If you wish to give your student permission to participate in Friday’s demonstration in downtown DC, please email us at </span><a href="mailto:usattendance@sidwell.edu"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">usattendance@sidwell.edu</span></a><span style="font-size: 11pt;">. While the school is not sponsoring this event, we will excuse your student(s) from classes if you give explicit permission that they may attend. A few items to note:</span></p>
<ol>
<li><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Please note that your child will attend their first period class (8:00am – 8:45am) before gathering for the 9:00am departure.</span><span><u1:p></u1:p></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Please note that your child is therefore excused absent for the remainder of the day and is not to return. You are excusing your child from school for the balance of the day.</span><span><u1:p></u1:p></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Please make sure you are aware of how your child is getting to and from the demonstration, and please establish some rules and advice for them to follow when in a large crowd. Out of an abundance of caution do I suggest you have this conversation with them.</span><span><u1:p></u1:p></span></li>
