Sunday is the Big Race! Just a Few Days Left to Sign Up for the GW Parkway Classic It's like Christmas in spring time! We're dressing up the beautiful parkway, preparing all the delicious foods, putting on all the final touches, and pulling out all the stops for the 34th annual George Washington Parkway Classic this Sunday. Race the 10 miler from historic Mt. Vernon to Old Town. Or follow the 5K path along the parkway to our festive post-race party at Oronoco Bay Park. Enjoy our pop-up beer garden courtesy of Port City Brewing. Celebrate at the finish line with breakfast tacos from District Taco. Enjoy live music from the Joe Chiocca Band and indulge in goodies from Dorpare, Krā, barkTHINS, and more. Join Our First Downward Plog At Pacers Navy Yard! Plogging has arrived! What is plogging? Oh, those resourceful Swedes have done it again — combining a good deed — picking up litter — with running, and turning it into the newest health craze! You gotta try it! Join us on May 6 at 4:00 p.m. for a short mindfulness exercise followed by a plog around the neighborhood. We'll provide the gloves and plastic bags — and even the demo shoes, courtesy of Altra! Finish with yoga by yogi Emily Bango, live music in the park at Navy Yard, and dinner from Taylor Gourmet and Ice Cream Jubilee back at the store, along with beer and bubbly water.
