This race could make all the difference, R.Hunter: NBC just ranked my friend Sen. Heidi Heitkamp the most vulnerable Democratic senator in the country, and POLITICO reports that we can't take back the Senate unless we defend her seat.

Heidi's race in 2012 was a nail-biter, coming down to fewer than 3,000 votes - and this time around it will likely be even closer.

The truth is the odds are stacked against her. After all, Trump won North Dakota by 36 points in 2016, and the GOP has already spent over $1 million against her - not to mention that Steve Bannon himself pledged to "take down" Heidi this fall.
