Once again, the media is focusing on shiny objects instead of the major issues confronting our democracy. It was wrong for Congressman Steny Hoyer to try to push me out of the race for congress in Colorado’s 6th Congressional District. But the bigger issue is that the DCCC and my Democratic opponent lied to the people of the district and loaded my opponent up with corporate money in an attempt to create an insurmountable advantage.


Democracy should be by the people and for the people -- not just for some of the people. That’s why we have campaign contribution limits. PACs (Political Action Committees) have become the bag men for special interests. Innocuous names hide big corporate and/or special interest donors.


Levi’s opponent in the primary accepts corporate PAC money. Lots of it. But he funnels it through politicians like Steny Hoyer and special interest PACs.

Levi has committed to working for the people. Not special interests. All the people (even those who can’t afford to contribute to his campaign -- even those who didn’t vote for him).


This is why Levi won’t take PAC money.
