Talked to John about this today. The President's office still had those dates at the end of February as a potential for you to go to Mali. Now, they conflict with your meeting with the Saudi Ambassador. That said, John told me that the President is focused on the Tuareg situation in Mali and likely wouldn't have the time to see you soon anyway. I told John to just let it lie but told him those dates in February likely wouldn't work if we heard at the last minute. I also told him not to pressure anyone in Mali especially if they are dealing with this crisis. From our point of view this isn't urgent.
