RESILIENCE SPEAKER.
Wednesday, February 8, 7 - 9 PM in Robert L. Smith Meeting House
Dr. Ken Ginsburg speaks on raising successful children and building
resilience: Authentic Success: Raising Children and Adolescents who
are prepared to Thrive in a Challenging World. Resilience is at the
center of so many challenges facing our children today and facing
parents who are working to raise successful children. Our children
feel the stress of striving to be independent, balancing the pressure
to get good grades, dealing with peer pressure and friends who are
exploring risky behaviors, and just figuring out how to grow up to be
the adults they (and we) want them to be. Fostering resilience in our
children will give them the tools to deal with these challenges
successfully. Please join us.

7/8 DANCE & PARENT PEER GROUP MEETING

Admission “price” will be an item for our winter food drive – students
should watch the daily bulletin for specifics.

Would you like to connect with other Sidwell Friends parents?

The Parents Association would like to invite you to connect with other
SFS parents and staff on LinkedIn, the online social media network for
professionals. We have created a LinkedIn Group exclusively for
current parents, faculty and staff. Membership is optional and
limited to members of our school community. We have created this
group to help members of our community get to know each other better,
participate in discussions, and share resources. This message
includes information on how to join the group. If you are already a
member of LinkedIn, you can join the group now by searching for
"Sidwell Friends Parents" under the Group search function, clicking on
the group name and then submitting a request to join from the Group

2) In the search bar, use the pull down menu to select :"Groups"
3) Enter "Sidwell Friends Parents"
4) In the search results, click on the listing for the Sidwell
Friends Parents Group site
5) Click on the button that says "Join"
6) Your request to join will be communicated to the group
managers and after verifying
that you are part of the Sidwell community, your request
will be approved
7) Start participating in the group by joining in on
discussions, inviting other Sidwell
parents to join, etc.!
