Being a twin, I learned a thing or two about compromise early on. Here’s how it would go in my house. Matt and I would fight like crazy for whatever we wanted – the biggest slice of cake, the best seat in the movie theater, the first go with a new toy. But being part of a team, we never got exactly what we wanted 100 percent of the time.

And that was ok.

It’s a lesson I wish Washington would take to heart.

Republicans and Democrats have until March 1 to find a solution to our latest fiscal crisis – “sequestration.” If we don’t act now, devastating cuts will jeopardize everything from education to healthcare to national security. Add your name to our petition to tell them we need action now.
