Dear Sidwell Friends School Parent,

The SFS Board of Trustees takes very seriously its responsibilities for prudent oversight of school finances, consistent with sustaining an exceptional educational experience for all of our students and promoting the exploration of new opportunities for learning and growth. Last month the Board approved an operating budget for the 2013-2014 school year and set tuitions as follows:

Grades PreK - 4: $34,288 Grades 5 - 12: $35,288

The new budget allows for proportional increases in tuition assistance, modest increases in faculty and staff compensation, and funding for training associated with implementation of our Long Range Priorities.

The School continues to provide tuition refund insurance for all students. Coverage for all families provides financial protection and peace of mind for both school and home. The Tuition Refund Plan brochure is available online with the SFS re-enrollment materials. Look for the re-enrollment information from our admissions office later this week.

We appreciate your confidence in our school program, and we look forward to your child or children continuing to be enrolled at Sidwell Friends next year. The aim of our ongoing program planning is to progress from strength to strength, and your children, collectively, are among our school's greatest strengths.
