Hunter,

You asked me keep you updated as we move the tax credit proposal forward. Here is a status report:

1. I have not yet followed up with Jason Furman, but plan to do so next week. I wanted to give him ample time to vet the proposal with his own staff.

2. Sent a copy of the executive summary to Sendil Mulainathan, of the Harvard Economics Department to have him give an opinion of the economic impact.

3. The Leadership Conference, AARP, NACA and CRL met to discuss the proposal. They have some language issues which I am resolving.

4. Yesterday met with Center for American Progress to share proposal and solicit input.

5. This morning I sent a copy to Brian Deese of OMB.

If you have any suggestions on how we might accelerate this discussion, I would be very appreciative.

Thanks for your help.

Bill
