No worries. Pytrole could be interesting for the right group, but I see it
as a club deal where a bunch of wealthy people who know each other and
often collaborate on deals each put in a few million to get to the $15mm
amount. While I could probably find someone in my universe of a few
thousand groups that would be interested, it's not a natural fit for most
of my clients as there's no real exit strategy, so you're basically going
into the energy business with these guys without any management control.
I'm not saying it's not potentially a great deal, but it would have a
tough time finding a home at most of my clients' shops at this point in the
lifecycle. One thing I could do is do a quick call and let them know why
it would be a tough sell at this point, and offer my suggestions regarding
how they could structure it to warrant more institutional interest (eg. pay
a yield), but beyond that I don't think I could do much for them at this
stage.
