The entire Richard family was in the blast 1 year ago at the Boston Marathon. Their 12 year old son, Martin, was the young boy who died in the blast. Their daughter, Jane, also lost part of her leg. The oldest, Henry, was not injured in the blast. They are coming to DC from Sunday through Wed/Thursday, because they don’t want to be in Boston during the Marathon on Monday. They will visit with the President and attend the Easter Egg Roll on Monday.

The road block that they are running into regarding travel is that they cannot fly because Denise (the mom) just had another corrective ear surgery from the blast, and she is not able to fly.

They were looking to get on the 11:23am Acela leaving from the Boston Station - Route 128 / Westwood, MA (RTE) that gets into Union Station at 5:55pm on Sunday.

They are just looking to buy 4 tickets on that Acela train for their family - Bill and Denise Richard, and their children Jane and Henry.
