Mr LUO informed us that as the third largest LNG purchaser in the world, CNOOC Gas & Power are making large cross boarder investments in conventional gas resources, shale gas resources, LNG terminals and related infrastructures. Until now, CNOOC Gas & Power has made investments worth USD4.5 bln in Australia in partnership with British Gas. It is trying to find investment opportunities in regions with abundant resource and friendly political environment such as Australia, Canada, Mozambique, Tanzania, and east Russia etc.
