EVENT DESCRIPTION

Please join us for an informative session with Mike Sommers, chief of staff to Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives John Boehner. Mr. Sommers will discuss the House Republican agenda for the remainder of the year.

Mr. Sommers advises Speaker Boehner on all matters before the House of Representatives and manages the speaker’s staff in Washington, D.C. Prior to being named chief of staff to the speaker, Mr. Sommers served the speaker in other capacities, including deputy chief of staff, policy director, legislative director and press secretary. He also served as special assistant to President George W. Bush at the National Economic Council at the White House, where he advised the president on agriculture, trade and food policy.
