Greeting to Elements/ Battery Kemble. I hope you have all had a great weekend. The new post is up with lots of pictures and details of last weeks Elements X-Games. http://theelementsdc.blogspot.com/2011/01/elements-x-games.html FYI - to protect your privacy - I never refer to the names of any of the kids or the locations of Elements but instead specify by day of the week. Just a few notes for this week;The weather forecast is for more Wintry weather. As a reminder, if the weather is bad - we look at 2 factors in deciding whether to proceed with the session; 1) the safety of the kids in the woods, 2) the safety and feasibility of you being able to get the kids to and from the parks. On Wednesday of last week, we were all systems go at 2:30 when I made the weather call. But at 4:00 - the fore casted snow came down is hard driving sleet and we had to cancel at the 11th hour. Please let me know if there is another way you would need to be reached different from this e-mail address.If you are interested in really exposing your kids to a world of outdoor adventure and beauty than I highly recommend the Banff Film Festival which is happening this week at The National Geographic (http://events.nationalgeographic.com/events/event-series/banff-mountain-film-festival/). I've taken my guys in the past and it is a wonderful escape from the rigmarole of DC life. Get tickets on line and in advance it does sell out. The dates are Tuesday - Saturday with movies screening each evening starting at 7pm. Enjoy! As always please let us know if you have any feed-back or questions!
