I bet "low fees" means no management fees, perhaps just paying hard expenses. The head of the Canadian Teachers Fund ($100B) said on CNBC yesterday that he does not understand why any Pension Fund would pay a management fee to a fund manager. The Oregon Investment Council approved a $525 million commitment to KKR's new buyout fund, helping the New York-based firm toward a target of raising between $8 billion and $10 billion. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-01-26/oregon-pension-will-commit-525-mill ion-to-kkr-s-10-billion-buyout-fund.html
